Brief Description :

• The project of Construction of Elevated Road in Thane City from Anand Nagar to Saket on Eastern Express Highway was approved in the 156th Authority Meeting held on 05/03/2024 amounting to Rs. 2188.62 Crore.
• To alleviate traffic congestion, the Construction of Elevated Road from Anand Nagar to Saket has been conceptualized as an 8.24 km long elevated corridor.
• The proposed corridor will have 3+3 lanes for traffic movement.
• Eastern Express Highway in Thane passes through important junctions such as Teen Hath Naka, Nitin Junction, Cadbury Junction and Golden Dyes Junction (Majiwada).There is a 6-lane flyover at Teen Hath Naka Junction, Cadbury Flyover at Nitin and Cadbury Junction, and Golden Dyes Flyover at Majiwada Junction.At Teen Hath Naka, two roads come from Thane City and one road comes from LBS Marg. There are also service roads for two-way traffic and slip roads connecting the flyovers.At Majiwada Junction, Ghodbunder Road carries major traffic from Mumbai towards Gujarat and Nashik towards Gujarat, providing connectivity to Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway.Due to heavy traffic movement and merging traffic at these junctions, frequent traffic congestion occurs on Eastern Express Highway in Thane.
• M/s. J. Kumar Infraprojects Ltd. has been appointed as the contractor on 11/10/2024.
• M/s Nippon Koei India Pvt. Ltd. JV Prabhavi has been appointed as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) on 18/12/2024.
• The project is being financed through Power Finance Corporation Ltd.
• Work Completion Period : 48 Months
  (12 Months for Design / Environmental Clearance + 36 Months for Construction)
• Defects Liability Period (DLP) : 24 Months
• Contract Cost : Rs. 1847.72 Crore
