Sahar Elevated Road
The Sahar Elevated Road – a direct link from the Western Express Highway to Chhtrapati Shivaji International Airport – is a crucial part of the Mumbai Urban Infrastructure Project. The authority has planned this elevated road due to lack of direct connectivity to the International airport and continuous increase in traffic towards the same.
Once completed, the International passengers will enjoy this direct connectivity to the International Airport. The Project has been sanctioned under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission of the Central Government.
The Project layout is thus :
- WEH to International Airport (Elevated Road).
- Pedestrian and vehicular underpasses at Hanuman Road, Vile Parle on WEH.
- Underpass below WEH.
